At our best we offer, and receive, and remind one another of the unconditional love of our Creator. A smile, a gentle hug, taking time to listen, and making a cup of tea for someone are just a few ways in which we can do this. Caring for one another without expectations or preconceived ideas is included in "pastoral care". As a community of faith all of us are involved.
We also have a small team of trained, experienced pastoral care providers, who intentionally reach out to folk who are ill, or going through a difficult time, or facing a challenging life transition. To reach them or the minister, contact the church office to let us know.
A first step in joining the pastoral care team is to take a training course. We anticipate offering this early in the new year. If you're curious to find out more, talk to the minister or leave a message with the church office.
