This study is to accompany the book "Queer Virtue" by Rev. Liz Edman.  "Queer Virtue: What LGBTQ People Know About Life and Love and How It Can Revitalize Christianity."

2 of the Zoom events will be with the author of the book, and 5 more will be led by the Affirming Working Groups of our Pacific Mountain Regional Council, and the Chinook Winds Regional Council. We have copies of the book available.  Contact Rev. Laura or Al to arrange pick up your copy. The cost of the book is $21.00, but do not let the cost deter you from getting a copy.  More information below:

EUC’s STEAM committee is extending an invitation to join with us in a lenten book study series being offered alongside our Regional Council Affirming Committee's invitation to enter the work – and faithful practice – of exploring what it means to be a church of belonging. This series is a joint offering from the Chinook Winds and Pacific Mountain Regional Council Affirming Working Groups and is being coordinated by Pam Rocker of Affirming Connections. All ages and demographics, identities and sexualities welcome! You can see a video from the author, The Reverend Elizabeth Edman here: (click to view video).

We are inviting you to join in on the regional sessions as outlined below as you read the book. We will then be hosting our own follow-up engagement sessions in the spring; likely beginning after this offering is complete. So don’t worry if you can’t make these sessions, but if possible, I encourage you to at least tune into the two sessions with the book’s author.

STEAM has purchased 20 copies of the book for the study which are available at a cost of $21.00 per book. Please don’t let cost deter you from getting a copy and reach out to Rev. Laura Laura.esquimaltunited@gmail.com or Al Lindskoog allanlindskoog@gmail.com to arrange pickup or delivery of your very own copy!
